A burglar alarm scared off a potential thief last month at a Lady Lake church.
The alarm sounded at about 9:30 p.m. May 31 at St. Alban’s Anglican Church on Lady Lake Boulevard. When Lady Lake police arrived on the scene, they discovered a window had been broken out on the northwest corner of the building.
A K-9 from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene and tracked through a heavily wooded area to the Lady Lake Cemetery. No one was apprehended.
A priest arrived on the scene and told police nothing appeared to be missing.
