A resident of the Quarters Apartments in Lady Lake was arrested after he was driving without a valid license Saturday.
Ricardo Jasso Hernandez, 31, had been driving at 11:56 a.m. on U.S. Highway 27/441 in Fruitland Park when a Lake County sheriff’s deputy found that Hernandez’s vehicle did not have a properly assigned license plate.
Hernandez handed the deputy a Mexican passport during the traffic stop. He claimed to have a valid driver’s license in Maryland, but the deputy was unable to confirm it.
Hernandez was arrested on charges of attaching a tag not assigned and driving without a license.
He was booked on $1,000 bond at the Lake County Jail.
