Joan Morrow, who is receiving treatment, had no family members living with her who could care for her garden of flowers.

After hearing about Morrow’s situation, the neighbors of Fernandina decided to weed out the garden and care for it since Morrow was unable to do it herself.

All it took was one email started by Kay Keating that got a lot of neighbors to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

According to Village of Fernandina resident Sharon Wackley, the support and thoughtfulness from the neighbors will continue as Morrow goes through the treatment for brain cancer.
