The owner of Recreation Plantation is seeking permission to operate a wine import and distribution business.
Grant Gore has already obtained a federal permit to import wine into the United States. He plans to operate under the name Flying Fish Import LLC.
The Lady Lake Planning and Zoning Board on Monday evening approved Gore’s request for an amendment to the town’s land development regulations that would permit him to operate the wine import and distribution business at Recreation Plantation on County Road 466 which is zoned commercial tourist.
A representative for Gore at Monday’s meeting said Gore intends to sell the products at Recreation Plantation.
The planning and zoning board agreed to forward the request to the Lady Lake Commission which will consider it at its July 3 meeting.
Recreation Plantation is undergoing a major expansion.
