An 82-year-old Villager has been ticketed as the result of an accident last week on County Road 466 in front of Southern Trace Plaza.
Remi Wrona had been at the wheel of a 2017 BMW, which had been traveling eastbound on CR466, at 10 a.m. Friday when she made a left turn across the westbound lanes of traffic, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. She turned into the path of a 2012 Cadillac driven by 73-year-old Peter Tetrault, also of The Villages. The front of his vehicle struck the right front side of Wrona’s vehicle.
Wrona and Tetrault were both transported by ambulance to The Villages Regional Hospital. Airbags deployed in both vehicles, according to the report. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Wrona was cited for failure to yield.
