A 30-year-old man was arrested on a charge of trespassing Saturday night at his parents’ home in The Villages.

Jeffrey Barrett Glatman, who lives at The Quarters Apartments in Lady Lake, had been ordered last September to stay away from his parents’ home on Morven Park Way, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the home after the couple reported receiving threatening texts from Glatman.

He entered the home through the front door, indicating he wanted to know why law enforcement was there, the report indicated. He said he was there to pick up $40 that was to be left under the mat for him.

Glatman had been arrested last year after a bizarre incident at Cornerstone Hospice.

That case is pending in Sumter County Court.
