A member of a local church discovered a “realistic-looking” BB gun hidden in the bushes on Sunday morning.
The member of Community Baptist Church in Summerfield made the discovery shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday and initially thought it was a black revolver, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The BB gun had been hidden in the bushes near the front entrance to the church.
The BB gun was secured in a locker at the South Marion District Office.
