To the Edtior:
It has recently come to my attention, that some of the excellent groups that perform in the square are now being cut completely by The Villages Entertainment Department. While I am one that has absolutely not one complaint in the world about how the Morse family runs things, I am beginning to wonder if they are even aware of the poor decisions that have been made by the new Entertainment Department staff over the past year or so. I, for one, love living in TV for the entertainment that is provided in the squares and am getting extremely discouraged with the negative changes that are being made in order to just promote liquor sales. I, for one, did not move here to live with a bunch of drunks who will be frequenting the squares due to the poor choices that are in process to replace some of the amazing talent that we currently have with mediocre so-called musicians. How many of you are in agreement with me? If so, let’s contact the Morse family and let them know exactly how we feel.
