An 81-year-old man was killed Friday afternoon in a crash in Marion County.
Jackie Doyle Wall of Eureka was at the wheel of a 2013 Chrysler van at 4:54 p.m. traveling northbound on NE 148th Terrace Road just north of NE 188th Place when his van crossed over the double solid line, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. His van collided with a 2009 Chevy Equinox driven by 27-year-old Kelli Sheree Johnson of Fort McCoy. Wall’s van rolled over on the passenger side while Johnson’s vehicle left the roadway and came to rest on the west shoulder.
Wall was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Fire Rescue.
Johnson was transported to UF Shands Hospital in serious condition.
