Man repeatedly tells deputy to ‘call Donald Trump’ after allegedly smashing woman’s cell phone

A man who repeatedly told a law enforcement officer to “call Donald Trump” was arrested after allegedly smashing a woman’s cell phone.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called at about 3 p.m. Monday to 16630 SE102nd CT RD in Summerfield  after 27-year-old Jorge Isaac Cruz-Garcia took a woman’s phone and smashed it on the concrete, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. He is a family friend who has been staying at a residence there. The incident was witnessed by the victim’s grandmother.

“I then spoke to the defendant who was advised of his Miranda Rights,” the deputy wrote in his report. “When I asked him about the incident, he repeatedly told me to call Donald Trump.”

Cruz-Garcia was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief and booked at the Marion County Jail on $500.
