Lake County sheriff’s deputies responded early Sunday morning to a shooting at a Denny’s restaurant in Clermont.
Deputies were called at 6:11 a.m. to the restaurant at 25 Town Center Blvd. in Clermont in reference to a shooting. Deputies were advised that an argument/physical altercation started inside the restaurant between two customers at which time they both went outside where the victim was shot.
The victim was airlifted to a Central Florida Hospital. The suspect fled in an unknown direction, according to a spokesman with the sheriff’s office.
