A 26-year-old man was arrested with methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop early Wednesday morning in Wildwood.
James Wilson Koffarnus of Coleman had been driving a 2009 Hundai when he ran a stop sign at Wildwood Avenue and Broken Oak Drive, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
During the traffic stop, Koffarnus volunteered that he had some “weed” on him, according to the arrest report. As Koffarnus stepped out of the vehicle, a bag containing heroin fell to the ground. Other bags were discovered containing methamphetamine and marijuana. A marijuana cigarette was also discovered on the floor of his car. A digital scale was found in the center console of the vehicle.
He was arrested on drug possession charges, a charge of a possession of drug equipment and was issued a written warning for running a stop sign.
He was booked on $8,000 bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
