A 46-year-old Lady Lake man riding a motorcycle was arrested Monday morning on a charge of driving while license suspended.
Thomas Nelson Zeigler had been riding the motorcycle shortly after 9 a.m. on U.S. 301 when a Wildwood police officer noticed the decal on the motorcycle’s license plate was expired.
During a traffic stop, Zeigler handed the police officer a Florida identification card and admitted he does not have a driver’s license.
He was arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $500.
He was also issued written warnings for not having a motorcycle endorsement and for having a tag expired less than six months.
