Mark Gallo made the remark in his interview Thursday morning for a vacant supervisor’s seat.

Trolls are those who are said to be roaming The Villages searching for violations of deed restrictions and anonymously reporting them to Community Standards.

“This is not what the process was designed for,” Gallo said.

CDD 7 Chairman Ron McMahon and District Manager Janet Tutt recently met with residents concerned about trolls.

Gallo serves as VHA director of VHA Region 7 which includes Bonita, Duval, Hadley and Hemingway. He is a representative of the Anita Villas in the Village of Bonita. He frequently attends CDD 7 meetings. He has lived in The Villages for eight years. He served 31 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a lieutenant colonel.

He was among three applicants for the position. He replaces Ron Ruggeri who recently resigned.
