A pool pump valued at more than $1,000 was reportedly stolen from a home in Summerfield.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to 9300 SE 163rd Lane on Wednesday morning and made contact with a man who reported the theft. He advised the homeowner recently installed a new pool pump, which had been stolen. The maintenance worker advised he was at the home on Sunday, doing yard work, which was the last time he observed the pump at the location.

Deputies made contact via telephone with the home owner, who advised that she had installed the new pump at her pool less than a month ago. She advised that the pump was an Intellipro VF pump, Whisperflo 1.5 horse power valued at $1,710.
