Hurricane Irma complicated north-south golf cart travel after leaving a tunnel flooded in The Villages.

The pounding rain delivered Sunday and early Monday morning flooded many streets, ponds and golf courses here in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.

Perhaps the trickiest of situations was the flooding of the golf cart tunnel that travels under Morse Boulevard near Havana Country Club just north of County Road 466A.

Though the water was deep, it didn’t prevent some from trying to get though the tunnel.
