Although the storm system has dissipated and is no longer a threat to Florida, Villagers are assessing the damage left in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
Multiple roads, golf courses and golf cart tunnels are still flooded with water as of Tuesday across The Villages. Some Villagers have reported having streets flooded with as deep as 6 inches of rainfall.
Businesses are slowly reopening, and lines at gas stations are lengthy.
