The Villages Amputee Support group will meet on Wednesday, October 4th at Lake Miona Recreation Center at 1:30 p.m. This month’s featured speaker is Prosthetist Fred Estok C.p., L.P. Mr. Estok will present “Intro to Prosthetic Feet” and will explain how the human ankle works and how prosthetists work to get the prosthetic foot to mimic normal ankle mechanics. Every lower amputee, long term or recent can benefit from having a better understanding of how their prosthetic devices function.
