A suspected shoplifter was arrested after struggling with a loss prevention officer Monday afternoon at Bealls.
Kimberly Thieschafer Spivey, 46, of Ocklawaha, attempted to leave the store on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Lady Lake with a purse and three pairs of sunglasses, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. When she was confronted by the store’s loss prevention officer, she attempted to flee on foot.
A check revealed the woman had also been arrested Oct. 11 on a charge of retail theft in Marion County.
She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $1,000 bond.
