A Villager has reported that a fraudulent claim has been filed with the Federal Emergency Management Agency on a home she owns in the Village of Valle Verde.
The 74-year-old received a letter from FEMA in reference to a claim that had been filed on Oct. 2 in connection with a home on Palermo Place. The woman reported the matter to Lady Lake police this week.
The house is currently on the market and she is living in the Village of Del Mar.
The woman told police she has not filed for FEMA assistance. She also has contacted FEMA about the fraudulent claim.
