A 28-year-old Weirsdale man was critically injured Monday morning when his car collided with a semi on County Road 42 in Marion County.
Christopher Valsechi had been at the wheel of a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo at 10:35 a.m. traveling eastbound on County Road 42 when it collided with a westbound semi driven by Rafael Nieves, 47, of Orlando, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. He escaped injury.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
