Lady Lake woman arrested after refusing to cooperate with Department of Children and Families

Courtney Ducat

A 25-year-old Lady Lake woman was arrested after refusing to cooperate with the Department of Children and Families.

Lady Lake police and a DCF agent arrived at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday at a home on Quail Street where Courtney Ducat was told that DCF had an order to make contact with her children.

However, Ducat refused to allow the DCF agent to interview her children or have contact with them. She attempted to run away while carrying one of the children.

She was taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
