The Saddlebrook Recreation Center indoor restrooms have closed since last week due to shoddy tile work.
Sam Wartinbee of District Property Management revealed at Wednesday’s meeting of the Amenity Authority Committee that tile work in the restrooms did not meet standards.
“It looks like a fifth-grader did it,” Wartinbee told members of the AAC.
The contractor is re-doing the work.
The AAC has delayed a $100,000 payment owed to the contractor who performed work at the recently renovated recreation center.
