Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on Bahia Pass Place in reference to a physical disturbance, according to an arrest report. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim and 30-year-old Tedrick Keshard Mazion in the garage of the residence. The victim’s mother advised deputies that Mazion hit the victim. He denied it and shut the door and locked it when deputies attempted to speak with him.

Deputies then made contact with the victim who stated that she and Mazion were involved in a physical altercation. Mazion reportedly became irate after asking the victim questions. He struck the victim’s neck with his right hand. In an attempt to leave the house, the victim was stopped by Mazion and held inside a room against her will. The victim’s mother overheard the commotion and contacted law enforcement.

Multiple units, including a K-9, were called to the area to assist in searching for Mazion. He was spotted in a white SUV with its lights off.

Mazion was placed under arrest. When asked why he ran away, Mazion told deputies “he was in fear for his life,” the report stated. He denied laying his hands on the victim.

Mazion was transported to Marion County Jail.
