A $400 saddle was reportedly stolen on Wednesday from a stable supply store in Ocala.

A Marion County Sheriff’s deputy made contact with a TT Distributors employee who advised that a suspect entered the business around 9 a.m. and concealed items under his vest, then walked out of the store. The employee stated that the suspect walked around the store for over an hour claiming he was waiting on a phone call. The suspect also kept asking questions about different equine equipment. The employee advised that the suspect concealed a black leather saddle under his vest and left the business. When she realized the suspect had stolen from the store, she ran outside after him. The suspect also stole an equine dewormer in which he placed under his vest as well before leaving the store. The saddle and dewormer were valued at $400 and $16 respectively.
