A 94-year-old Ocala man was killed in a crash early Wednesday morning on Interstate 75 in Marion County.
The man, who has not been identified pending notification of next of kin, had been southbound at 12:20 a.m. in a 2006 Toyota Camry when his vehicle collided with a semi driven by Gerald Martinez Atwater, 43, of Jacksonville, at Mile Marker 358, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
His Camry then collided with a semi parked on the shoulder of the roadway. That semi was operated by Ciarra R. Coleman, 31, of Hazelwood, Mo.
She and Atwater escaped injury.
