Villages couple claims victory in 2018 Dancing With Our Stars event

Rey and Consuelo Inovero of the Village of Woodbury danced their way to victory in the 2018 Dancing With Our Stars event Thursday night at La Hacienda Recreation Center.

The annual event, based on the famed television show, “Dancing With the Stars,” is a fundraiser for Dollars for Scholars.

Four couples competed in a variety of dance styles to win the trophy. Last year, Villagers Jim and Carol Hutchens waltzed off with the title.
Over the years, Dollars For Scholars has raised over $400,000 to help local students. “Starry Starry Nights,” was the big fundraiser for the group, but now Dancing With Our Stars” meets the challenge.
