‘The Marriage of Figaro’ coming to Savannah Center

Wayne Hu

The Central Florida Lyric Opera will present Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at the Savannah Center.

The opera, directed by Maestro Bill Doherty, continues the plot of “The Barber of Seville,” several years later. It relives “a single day of madness” in the palace of Count Almaviva near Seville, Spain. Mozart’s musical score enhances this popular opera.

The cast features Wayne Hu, a New York City opera singer, as Figaro. Ashley Lowe is The Countess and Jerrod Eggleston is Count Mariangel Cestari. Also in the cast are: Sam Reynolds, Amanda Caban, and other members of Central Florida Lyric Opera.
Tickets are $25 and are available Villages Box Office locations.
