Marion County sheriff’s deputies made phone contact with a man who advised he was battered by his co-worker, 53-year-old Charles Michael McDonald, while at work at War Horse Harley-Davidson.

The victim said that around 1 p.m. he was standing in the parking lot greeting customers when McDonald approached him and asked, “Why don’t you just put their kickstand down for them?” referring to the customers. The victim explained that this was an ongoing issue between them due to a “competitive work environment.” He said he and McDonald are the top two salesmen. He advised that McDonald got really close to his face, with both their noses touching. The victim put his hands behind his back and McDonald forcibly pushed the other man’s chest with two hands.

Deputies responded to the store located at 5331 North U.S. Hwy. 441 and made contact with a witness who advised he observed the victim and McDonald “having words” that were not friendly. He also witnessed McDonald shoving the victim. Another customer witnessed the incident and described McDonald as a “bully” who has done this in the past.

McDonald was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail. Bond was set at $1,000.
