Woman arrested for selling fentanyl out of window of home shared with her mother

Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team agents have arrested 37-year-old Kristina May Goodhue for trafficking fentanyl.

The investigation began in January in response to the death of a man who had visited Goodhue’s home shortly before his overdose. UDEST conducted surveillance and facilitated undercover purchases until they were able to develop enough information to obtain a search warrant.

An Ocala woman is charged with selling drugs through a window at this home she shared with her mother.

UDEST agents on Thursday executed a search warrant at 2580 SE 1st Avenue Lot 121 in Ocala, and located 13 grams of suspected fentanyl and three grams of Ice. Due to the high risk of exposure, agents only tested one bag which tested positive for fentanyl. The remainder will be sent to a lab for further testing.

Goodhue was selling the drug in $20 bag quantities out of a back window at the residence she shares with her mother. She provided new syringes with every sale so users would not share needles and potentially become infected. During the search and arrest, Goodhue claimed she was selling heroin, but testing confirmed that she was in fact selling fentanyl.

Goodhue told Agents she was selling to support her personal use, in which she consumed three grams of heroin per day. She said she had been going to a doctor for back pain and became addicted to the pills prescribed. When it became more difficult to obtain the pills she was repeatedly offered heroin and eventually tried it.

“Due to the number of overdose deaths we are seeing, UDEST Agents now respond to all overdoses to get immediate information and begin an investigation,” said UDEST Sergeant Dustin Keuntjes. “We’re hoping to have more of these arrests.”

After executing the search warrant, Sergeant Keuntjes taped a list of addiction treatment resources to the window where Goodhue’s sales had taken place.

UDEST is an initiative of the North Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area comprised of local, state and federal law enforcement professionals from: Ocala Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Drug Enforcement Administration and Department of Homeland Security.
