To the Editor:
I want to express my appreciation for the great response to the EMTs and ambulance team as well as the Villages Hospital in caring for me after experiencing a stroke while driving.
The EMTs were there in about seven minutes. The ER stroke protocol enabled me to receive a time limited drug application in the hospital that quickly got me under control and preventing further damage. The entire hospital staff that worked with me during my stay was fantastic.
