A Mount Dora motorcyclist was killed early Sunday morning in a crash in Lake County.
Jason Sasser, 37, had been riding a 1999 Honda motorcycle at 12:03 a.m. westbound on State Road 46 and approaching a stoplight when he slowed down and was rear-ended by a 2003 Ford SUV driven by 24-year-old Arizbet Vasques of Sorrento, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Sasser’s motorcycle was pushed into the rear of 2014 Ford Fiesta which was stopped at the stoplight and driven by 33-year-old Samuel Smith of Bushnell.

Sasser was transported to Florida Waterman Hospital where he later died. He had not been wearing a helmet, the report noted.
Vasques was seriously injured and also transported to Florida Waterman Hospital.
