To the Editor:
I must be confused. I thought the Daily Sun was a business that existed to make a profit. I don’t subscribe to the Daily Sun. I quit my subscription when I realized I was paying for an advertising tool for The Villages. I recently heard that my amenities were going to be used to pay the increased costs to produce the recreation guide that is added to the Daily Sun every Thursday. I don’t mind paying for the copies of the recreation guides that are placed at the recreation centers, but I see no reason for my amenities to pay for the increase in cost to the Daily Sun, a for-profit business. Let the subscribers pay the increase in cost! I subscribe to Good Housekeeping and if their costs go up, they don’t increase our taxes. They increase the cost to their subscribers. The recreation guide should be available online and some copies available at every recreation center. The Daily Sun can place a notice on the front of every Thursday’s paper saying the recreation guides are available at the recreation centers and online.
