Robert Henry Young, 81, of The Villages, FL, passed away on May 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was a resident of The Villages, FL since 2012, moving here from Apopka, FL.
Born in Detroit, Michigan on February 6, 1937. Raised in Detroit, Michigan and served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Young had a career expanding over 48 years with IBM in Engineering and Financial Management. Lived in Michigan, New Jersey and Florida. Managed the Summer Golf League in The Villages.
Mr. Young is survived by his wife: Eve (Saul), daughters; Susan (Gregory), Colleen (Douglas) & Tracey, step children: Melanie (Stephan) and Elizabeth (Steve), grandchildren: Scott, Rylan, Christopher, Brett & Zachary, step grandchildren: Lauren & Michel, great grandchildren: Maria, Marlee, Griffin, Ryan and step great grandson, Maximus. Predeceased by parents: Dorothy and James Young, first wife, Barbara and son, Marlon Scott.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 12:30 p.m. at the Highland Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka, FL. Visitation for friends will be held 1 hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
