A Water Oaker reported the theft of a license plate from his vehicle.
The 72-year-old reported the theft of the plate on May 6 to Lady Lake police.
The man said his neighbor pointed out to him the license plate was missing from his vehicle.
He said he had been at Leesburg Regional Medical Center from April 30 to May 2 and suspects the license plate might have been stolen while he was there.
