
Robert Paul Nappi, 70, of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away unexpectedly
on Sunday, May 20, 2018. He was born on May 11, 1948 in St. Louis,
Missouri to his parents Jean and Mauro Nappi.
Bobby moved to Florida from Alabama when he was in grade school. He was an avid sports fan and his favorite team was the University of Alabama. He
graduated from Leesburg High School in 1967 and received a football
scholarship to East Tennessee State University.
Bobby was a former teacher, coach and drivers education instructor. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Leesburg.
Bobby’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and watching his 6 grandsons grow.
Survivors include his loving wife of almost 45 years Jan Nappi; son
John “Boy” Nappi; daughters Lisa Mellado (Johnny) and MaryLou
Farris (Johnny); brothers Michael Nappi (Beverly) and Kenneth Nappi
(Jeanne); 6 grandchildren Bo, Bryce and Blake Mellado, Peyton,
Trenton and Triston Farris; and his beloved dog Fritz. He is preceded in
death by his parents.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 26 at
11 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m. in the Chapel of First Baptist
Church, 220 N. 13th Street, Leesburg, FL 34748.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations may be made in
his memory to the Christian Care Center at First Baptist Church. You
