Jim “Opa” Shaw, age 80, of Summerfield, FL, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018. He was born in Ludowici, GA on December 12, 1937.
James was a pilot in the U.S. Army and retired after 24 years. He moved to Summerfield from Pennsylvania in 2000. Jim was a Mason and Shriner.
He is survived by his wife Heinke Shaw of Summerfield, FL; sons Jerry E. Shaw of Memphis, TN and Terry W. Shaw of Melbourne Beach, FL; daughter Sandra A. Neill of Melbourne, FL; and grandchildren James, Katie, Cliff, Mat, Erika and Mason.
A memorial service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Shriners Hospital.
