An armed robber wielding a handgun barged into the kitchen of an Ocala Papa John’s restaurant late Tuesday night and demanded cash.

According to a Marion County Sheriff’s Office report, the store’s manager told deputies that a black man carrying a handgun came through the front door of the store, walked into the kitchen, pointed a gun at his face and told him to “give me all your (expletive deleted) money.”

The manager complied and the robber fled around the north side of the business, located at 9470 South U.S. Hwy. 441, on foot, the report states.

Multiple units and a sheriff’s helicopter responded as deputies searched for the suspect. A forensics technician processed the scene and it was turned over to a Marion County detective for further investigation.
