Emma Kate Hughes, granddaughter of Village of Palo Alto resident Elaine Rau, recently graduated with honors from Centennial High School in Franklin, Tenn.
Hughes plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the fall.
UT Chattanooga is a public institution located on 425 acres in Chattanooga, Tenn. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of 10,084, with a gender distribution of 44 percent male students and 56 percent female students.
