Villager scores first hole-in-one on Fort Walton at Bonifay Country Club

Jim Thompson, of the Village of Mira Mesa, got his first hole-in-one Monday at Bonifay Country Club.

The special moment in his golfing career came on the second hole of Fort Walton. He used an 8-iron for the 132-yard shot.

Thompson and his playing partners all watched the ball hit about an inch in front of the cup and roll in. They all agreed, “It was a perfect golf shot!”
