Louise Cheatham

Louise Cheatham, of Wildwood, FL, was born July 14, 1932 to Claude Howard Sr. and Idella Payne. She was the fourth child of 15 children.

In 1950 she met and married the love of her life Vernon Cheatham, and to this union eight children were born.

She had various jobs during her life, but what she loved the most was being with and cooking for her family. Macaroni and cheese and sweet potato pies were the family favorites. She loved the Lord and served in various ministries. Anyone that knew her, knew she had strong faith and was a mighty prayer warrior.

In 2011 she moved to Florida to continue her retirement.

She was affectionately called Idella by her siblings and known simply as “Weezie” by her grandchildren.

Siblings preceded her in death were Clarence, Eva, Clara, Moses, Johnny, Abbie Grace, and Mary Jean. Her husband Vernon Cheatham and four of her children Vernon III, Robert Earl, Samuel and Michelle McGhee preceded her in death as well.

She is now resting in the arms of her Heavenly Father. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters LaVerne Walker, Lucille Cheatham, Jeannette Johnson and son Clarence Cheatham, 13 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Tabernacle Church in Wildwood on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11 a.m.
