There are two confirmed fatalities as the result of a multi-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Marion County.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash – a recreational vehicle towing a car, a passenger vehicle and a semi. The crash occurred in the northbound lanes of U.S. Hwy. 441 near Sparr.
Traffic was being diverted as U.S. Hwy. 441 was closed at County Road 329. It was expected to remain closed for for several hours.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
