Keith Scalzitti

Keith Scalzitti, 63 of Fruitland Park, FL, lost his two year battle with cancer on 6/20/2018. He was brave through the rigors of treatment and was always hopeful for a cure.

He served in the USN as a cook on the USS Francis Marion at the end of the Vietnam War. His passion for cooking continued throughout his life as he prepared so many delicious meals for friends and family. Keith also loved to fish and was a fan of fresh water lakes. He loved the outdoors and vacations included camping, house-boating and of course fishing.

Keith was an accomplished Mechanical Engineer for his entire work career and was able to fix anything mechanical. He worked for multiple industries in the Chicago land area and Las Vegas. His major area of expertise was as an electrician and his detail was impeccable. He was dedicated to his profession and was well-liked by his employers for his knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Keith was born in Chicago, IL and moved to Florida in 2008. He was a devoted and supportive husband. Despite his physical difficulties he always looked at the positive in every situation.

He is survived by his wife Julie Ann (nee Dannenberg), sister Debbie Flores (Grants Pass, Oregon), adoptive Father James Scalzitti ( Sacramento ,CA), brother Elliott James Scalzitti ( Las Vegas, NV.) and aunt Sandra Collier (Las Vegas, NV). Keith also has many nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father Leland Inman and mother Lucia Weitzel (nee Florian).

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 30 from 1 – 2 p.m., then the memorial service will be at 2 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake.
