A man was arrested Tuesday afternoon at his grandmother’s house in Oxford on a Volusia County warrant.
Timothy Alandale Willings, 37, was located at 12:36 p.m. at his grandmother’s home at 1701 County Road 227A, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He was wanted on the Volusia County warrant charging him with violating his probation.
Willings gave a false name to a deputy and ran back into the home. His grandmother confirmed that the deputy had just spoken to Timothy Alandale Willings, who then attempted to flee on foot. A K-9 joined in the chase and Willings was taken into custody.
He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center where he was being held without bond.
