Marion County Fire Rescue is hosting a series of public meetings to discuss and gather input on the department’s master plan from July 23 to 25, at the Marion County Growth Services Training Room, 2710 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Meeting times will be announced soon.
A master plan is the plan of action to carry out a department’s strategic initiatives and provides valuable insight for the department as well as the Marion County Board of County Commissioners as to service levels, funding, resource allocation, future growth and more.
Input from residents will help guide the contracted consultant group on prioritizing needs and opportunities to enhance fire and medical emergency services in Marion County.
To adequately explore major areas of the department’s current master plan, Marion County Fire Rescue specifically requests attendance and input from the county’s:
Residents who have received service from Marion County Fire Rescue
Business owners
Civic organizations
Industries
Neighborhood groups and homeowners’ associations
Nonprofit organizations
Service groups
If you are a part of any of the categories above, please contact Division Chief Rodney Mascho at 352-291-8098 or [email protected] no later than noon on July 19.
