Summerfield man arrested with weed after speeding SUV captured on radar

A Summerfield man was arrested with marijuana after his speeding SUV was captured on radar.

Lucky Jackson Walker Jurgens, 20, had been at the wheel of the SUV at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday when he was caught traveling at 66 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone on County Road 468 and County Road 505, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

A K-9 unit was called to the scene of the traffic stop and the dog alerted on the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of drugs.

Jurgens was found to be in possession of marijuana.

He was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.
