Thomas “Vic” Varnedoe died peacefully in The Villages, FL, on August 12 at the age of 77.
He joined the Army and was a sergeant in the 2nd Infantry Division. He retired from banking in 2002 and was active in the Seniors vs. Crime program.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Paul Varnedoe, and Laura Varnedoe Priede; brother, H.P. Varnedoe Sr.; 6 grandchildren, 2 nephews, 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews. Vic was born in Nashville, TN, lived in Fort Lauderdale, FL and Atlanta, GA before moving to The Villages in 2005.
Funeral is scheduled for Saturday, September 1, at 11 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, with a reception to follow.
