Shirley A. Larson, 89, of The Villages, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Lady Lake Specialty Care. Born in Warrensburg, NY, the daughter of Charles V. and Marion Harris.
Shirley resided in New York until her marriage to Erland M. Larson on April 8, 1950. After their marriage they settled in St. Petersburg, FL. Shirley worked with her husband in their business “Studio Four Graphics”. She enjoyed golfing, painting and puzzles as well as cooking and baking for her family and friends. She volunteered for the Cancer Society and served as the Chairperson in Clearwater. She also served as President of her golf league in the Village of Villa Valdosta.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years, Erland. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah DeKoven (Rick) of TX; granddaughter, Jennifer DeKoven Glatz (Robert), 2 great granddaughters Finley and Delaney Glatz all of TX. She also leaves a brother Major Charles A. Harris Sr. and wife Major Marie Harris of The Villages and nephew Charles Harris Jr.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Mulberry Grove Recreation Center, 8445 SE 165 Mulberry Ln, The Villages, for a time of remembrance and celebration of life.
