Don Deakin

Community Development District 4 Supervisor Don Deakin will host two upcoming question-and-answer session with residents.

The meetings, which will be held Monday, Oct. 1 and Wednesday, Oct. 3 at Mulberry Grove Recreation Center, will give residents a chance to sit down together with a District 4 supervisor in an informal setting with no agenda, scheduled speakers or microphones. The goal is to provide residents with the opportunity to ask questions, get answers, share concerns, offer suggestions and address rumors on any topic pertaining to District 4.

The two-hour meeting with Deakin, who also serves as an Amenity Authority Committee (AAC) representative, begins at 7 p.m. Residents are invited to attend the entire meeting to listen to others’ questions but should feel free to arrive and depart on their own schedule.

Because residents choose the topics, each meeting is different. Topics discussed at previous sessions have included: Architectural Review Committee, AAC, Bonds (District 4 and AAC), the purchase of the First Baptist Church on County Road 42, Community Watch, deed restrictions, dog parks, finances (District 4 and AAC), fitness trails, gates, hurricanes, landscaping, fences, walls, law enforcement, multi-modal paths, new development, Phillips and Soulliere Villas, recreation, parks, executive golf, road maintenance, sinkholes, and water usage and surcharges.
