Patriotism is a big part of country music – and both will be coming to Savannah Center.

“Country Music Salutes Our Veterans” on Nov. 14-15 will feature a big cast of more than 20 Villages performers. The list includes The Skipper, Billie Thatcher, Jan Lavin, Janet Maloney, Jo Gagne, Lydia Leduc, Dave Olsen, Sharon Archer, and David and Cathye LeShay.
Gay McCants will host the show in character as Minnie Pearl, the late country-music comedienne.
Also appearing are the Prime Time Twirlers. And Lynne and Bruce Greenberger will entertain with a dance number called “Dream a Little Dream.”

The show is directed by Carol Greenfield.
“It’s a totally Villages show,” she said. “We’ve got something for everybody: songs, dances, cloggers, twirlers, patriotic songs and just plain fun.”

The goal is to honor veterans.
“There are a lot of veterans living in The Villages and we are here to support and help them,” Lynne Greenberger said.
She added that the show will feature “old-time” country entertainment and red-white-and-blue dance numbers.
